I got my puter back! One month without it...;_; Oh well. On the twelfth of last month, I downloaded a nasty virus. It completely eradicated my hard drive. Sooo after a long time of freaking out I decided it was a lost cause. My puter wouldn't even start up all the way. Mom and I looked it up online for help, but nothing was working. My puter was gone.

A few days later, Mum told me that I could give the puter to Aunt Trish. She would then take it to a guy who would fix it for me, and I would be in debt to Trish. I didn't really want to start out with debt in life, but I decided that I loved my puter more. I was sad because I knew he would have to reformat the computer entirely. I was sad about losing 15 gigs of music, and even more so about losing 100gigs of anime. Most of all, however, I was sad about losing the 1mb of writing that I've done for various things.

So anyway, I got my puter back yesterday but didn't get it all started up until today. I no longer have Windows Media Center Edition. That really uberly sucks because I just found this cable for my puter which would let me watch freaking CABLE. But it only works if I have Media Center. So I'm trying to figure out if I can download Media Center, even though I only have Home Edition.

Going through the file, I found out that he had installed nearly fifteen PopCap games! And by the looks of it, they're all registered too. For those of you who don't know...XD Downloading and attempting to hack those games was what killed my puter in the first place. So that made me happy. He also must have noticed that I had a lot of DVD programs on my puter, so he also gave me a few. They seem really nifty and I hope that they'll work as well as the last programs that I had.

Big bonus! He saved most of my stuff! I dunno how he did it, but I have almost all the files from my main hard drive (which is the one that died). Which means that I have all of my music and pictures and whatnot. After not having a puter for a month though, I was able to go through and delete everything I didn't need. He also saved most of the stuff from my third hard drive too. But I don't need most of those. All of my writing was saved too.

Unfortunately, he did not save anything from my second hard drive which makes me sad. I had Pokemon Season 1, Paradise Kiss, Fullmoon wo Sagashite, Read or Die, Gundam Wing (All ten discs! T~T) and about three other FULL series. I really really really wanted to watch them all too :< Oh well. I can either redownload them or forget about it.

Another downer: Instead of only getting rid of the dead hard drive, he got rid of both that one and the third one, which kind of explains why I still have that information. I guess he deleted everything off #2 and transferred from #1 and #3. So that means I went from 220gigs to 111gigs of memory. Teh suck.

But all in all, I say this is generally good. He gave me really nifty doodads, helped me clean up any extra things I didn't need. So now, even with less space than before, I have 70 gigs free. (before, I had like...15) Hopefully my computer will be running smoother than ever. I still need to download things like iTunes. And I also have to install my tablet again. Then everything should be up and running like before!
